Ryukyu Golden Kings Concept Room Design

In our quest to explore the wonders and potential of Ryukyu indigo, we handle every step of the process—from clearing fields and cultivating the plants to producing the dye and applying it to fabrics.

To mark the opening of REF Okinawa Arena by VESSEL HOTEL, we had the privilege of designing one of the guest rooms.

This guest room features Ryukyu indigo dyeing used generously throughout—from the noren curtain, bedspread, and curtains to the desk and even the picture frames. On the wall, a Ryukyu indigo-dyed basketball court with the Golden Kings’ raised logo is displayed as a striking work of art.

We will continue to promote Ryukyu indigo not only for traditional applications like dyeing thread and clothing, but also as a medium for art and interior design.
