Important Notes

Dyeing is not suitable for all materials, and depending on the state of the product you mail us, you may not be able to get an idea of how the dyeing may turn out. Please carefully review the important notes below before ordering.

Material

  • Chemical fibers such as nylon and polyester are unsuitable for dyeing because of their poor coloration.
  • Silk may fade significantly after dyeing, depending on the material.
  • Dyeing may be suspended if a large amount of oil or color fading is found during the scouring stage prior to dyeing. Please note that the return shipping cost will be borne by the customer in the occurrence of such a case.
  • Please note that even if a material is compatible with dyeing, some products may not be suitable for dyeing due to the fiber structure, weaving structure, wrinkle resistance, or other processing effects.

Here are the materials that are compatible with dyeing.

  • Cotton, hemp, etc. (plant fiber) ← Most recommended
  • Silk, wool, etc. (animal fiber)
  • Lyocell/Tencel, etc. (refined fiber)
  • Rayon/Cupra, etc. (regenerated fiber)
  • Acetate, etc. (semi-synthetic fiber)

Important Notes When Dyeing

  • Slight shrinkage of the product may occur.
  • Depending on the nature of the material, it may not reach the desired shade, or there may be a slight difference from the desired shade.
  • If there is deterioration of the material, the material may tear, lose buttons, etc., during dyeing and washing.
  • Sweat and grease stains and areas where antiperspirants are used may discolor.
  • Depending on the thickness of the material, the color may not adhere well.
  • Sneakers may experience shrinkage and breakage, peeling of the sole, and stains.
  • For large orders, the texture will vary slightly from product to product because each one is dyed by hand. This is a unique feature of hand dyeing.
