RYUKYU BLUES PROJECT

The Inoue Brothers... is a social design studio founded in 2004 by brothers Satoshi and Kiyoshi Inoue, who were born and raised in Denmark.

As part of The Inoue Brothers...’ upcycling project, a collaborative product between the Copenhagen-based handicraft team “Pure Fabrications” and our “Ryukyu Indigo Research Institute” has been launched.
Each product is dyed using various embroidery designs originating from the Nordic countries, created by the all-female design team at Pure Fabrications, making every piece a one-of-a-kind item.

Additionally, to coincide with this collaboration, we jointly produced and launched a short film titled “RYUKYU BLUES PROJECT,” which follows the process of creating The Inoue Brothers... products.
